West Beirut
During the Lebanese civil war, the capital Beirut was divided. West Beirut was the area dominated by Muslims and East Beirut was controlled by Christians. This is a very nice movie that depicts the start of the war in Lebanon and shows how people where living together Muslims and Christians without any problem until the war erupted. The only complaint I have on this movie is the subtitles. The translation is not good at all, for those who understand Arabic and specifically the Lebanese dialect will notice the fault. However, the movie is still enjoyable and very funny in most of the scenes. Lebanese will enjoy it the most because the language and dialects of people coming from different regions in Lebanon adds spice and fun to the movie. Being a descendant from Lebanese parents I wish that one day Lebanon will come back to its prime. Continue reading to get clips from the movie West Beirut
